Oliver Wendall Holmes once said, "A page of history is worth a volume of logic." This year we will strive to look at important events in the course of history and apply what we have learned to other histroical events as well as current events.

You will gain a sense of historical logic this year. You will see patterns of leadership, patterns of strategy and patterns of civilization. Just as you learn in algebra that a=b, b=c, therefore a=c you will learn that poor leadership = unhappy people, unhappy people =revolt, therefore poor leadership=revolt.

This is histroical logic and you will soon learn that a page of history can teach us more than we can learn in our lifetime.

History does not repeat itself, but it does rhyme.
